I know people won't go crazy over the latest pictures of California Kingsnakes as they do other species, but I thought that I'd show off a couple of shots that define my little guy.

In one, he's using his log hides, and he does that about 10% of the time. He usually doesn't show his head, so when he peeked, I took a picture. In the other, he's peeking out from under the water bowl where he likes to hide. This little bowl is a cheapie that I asked the pet store to put in his cage a week before I bought him. He was shedding and didn't have a bowl big enough for him to soak. They gave him this one and sold it to me with him. He likes using it for a hide, so I leave it in the cage even though it looks a little funny. He's grown slightly and has problems getting completely under the bowl, so he just lifts it onto his back when he's hiding underneath.
