Hello,

I'm not too familiar with lacertids as we rarely see them in Canada, but I'm positive that this lizard is a member of Lacertidae.

It's a friend's rescue, had a horrible sand impaction that nearly killed the poor little guy. Quite certain it's a male due to the presence of very prominent femoral pores, but I'm really not sure of the particular species. He's about 10cm SVL, and a photo says a thousand words...

I'd like to narrow this little guy down to a species so that my friend can take better care of him. I've also posted this on the Lizard ID forum.

Thanks,
Christina Miller
