the San Diego Zoo and was a Surinam.

If I remember correctly, she came into their collection as an adult from the wild. She measure 16 feet with a head size that was amazing. The zoo posted the fact she had a huge litter, but I can't recall the number. Though it was staggering.

On a recent behind-the-scenes tour I asked the curator what happen to her. Apparently she died a few years back.

Those of you who may have seen her can vouch for what a huge animal this was.
