one thing that hasn't been mentioned is the temperature of your enclosures. while it's not harmful by any means to keep your cresteds between 65-75 degrees F, they will grow faster when kept between 75-82 degrees.
i would also agree with the previous post, if they are housed together and you are that worried about it, you should separate them.
