Ken Boyer is the Reptile Curator at the San Dieog Zoo.

Dave Barker and I were recently was treated to a behind the scenes tour by Ken.



I asked Ken about the big female Surinam. I believe he said she died before he took over. Apparently her body wasn't kept, but rather fed off to other animals at the zoo. I was told this was standard practice when animals die in collections.
