I talked to Jeff and that's how he said he does it, too. That's what I'm thinking of doing as well. What do you use for substrate?
I use corrugated cardboard, so there won't be so much of the diffusion of the heat. How much does the surface temp in the cage differ from the temp of the probe underneath the cage?
