I use dimpled craft paper on top of a couple sheets of newspaper. The dimpled craft paper looks really good but seems to need some help with absorbing the liquids.
Only a few degrees different, like I said though, you'll need a temp gun to accurately determine the offset. I use my gun quite often to check temps. rarely do I change the thermosat but still have my first summer to go through where the room temps are higher. (with the boaphiles)
