If the animal is unhealthy, or the humidity level isn't correct (even this doesn't always result in bad sheds, but the likelyhood goes up the more extreme the humidity level reaches on the lower end). I have heard of some bad sheds resulting from animals that were treated with petrolium based lubricants (like vaseline) for mites or earlier shedding issues. | ||
