striped sand boas

A friend of mine has what I believe to be a Kenyan sand boa, which is clearly striped along the back, the stripe is orange...maybe half inch wide, running pretty much along the entire back...looked to be a juvenile / young adult.

My Question is this a pattern mutation, something to do with incubating temps, or some type of a hybrid. He doesn't have internet access and asked me to investigate this snake, one final question, what is the value of such a snake as compared to average kenyan...I realize it's hard to do without a pic. If anyone is interested, I could probably go take a pic and upload on here, probably take a week at least...Thanks for any help, robbie
