I recall a couple of people who acquired individual permits to bring spceimens back from Mexico about that timeframe, as I acquired a couple pairs of Abronia graminea from one of them and have been working with them to acquire permits for another trip down, very long and drawn out process I might add.
Anyhow, I do not recall any D. m erebennus coming in on those permits, but it's possible I missed them. This would have made them legal WC specimens, though I believe such would have required transfer to the West, as I have been given the impression D. m erebennus taken in Mexico, even by permit, still cannot enter the U.S. through Texas...
