naturally have a grey or bluish color to them. i dont think i would call it a "blue morph". some obviously look more blue depending on the time of day and their mood. if you can get a copy of the dec 1999 reptiles magazine, on page 49 is a close up of the original boa that came into the country in 1978 from Cayos Cochinos that reportedly started the Hog island boa craze. Louis Porras took the picture and stated that not long after this boa came in a collecting station was set up on the islands. in this pic you can see the bluish color. also a recent field guide to the cayos cochinos has pics that show the snakes with this blue/grey coloring. (again as i have stated before these boas ARE NOT extinct as has been rumored in articles and even here on the esteemed forum pages) heres a couple pics to wet your whistle. the first two are of the same female, at her darkest grey, believe it or not she can (but seldom does) turns almost as lite and "blue" as the male in the third picture. luckily he almost always looks like this. he can turn just as dark as that particular female however. also look in my post below, you can see the blue in this male as well. i have seen some other blue hogs pictured here on the forum in the past, hopefully we can see them again. thanks for looking, john yocum ZOO-OTICS
