If you're not in an old pick up truck with no heat , and it's not a long drive, I'd say just start the car and let it warm up good inside before you leave. Carry the boa to the car in a snake sack under your jacket. I've transported several snakes to and from school "pet day" outings this way with no problems. As long as the interior of the car stays warm, so will your boa. JMHO
