Actually he may. I lived in Florida and we had skunks and possums and racoons in our back yard. I had a large Russian Blue male cat who was king of the neighborhood.

One night we heard him scratching at the back door and when I kicked on the lights and opened the door to our surprise was the cat an opossum two racoons and a skunk, no BS, all sitting nicely on the porch with the cat like they were coming in for some drinks with their pal. We were stunned. A cat had befriended the critters in the back yard, I guess struck a truce or something...it was the strangest darn thing.
