After our move we are planning on filing to get a permit for a coatimundi (everything is illegal in CA without a permit) - but we were told that we need to be absolutely sure that we keep the snakes away as they (the coati) may have a natural tendancy to kill the snakes - so now we're not sure. But then again I would think a lot of animals might have a natural tendancy to kill a snake, which is why I asked. We would have to take extra precautions I guess. Still haven't committed just yet.
