Continuation of thread below regarding breeding size but this time it's the male hondo's turn.

There's a thread below regarding a female hondo that is not over 400 grams yet but is projected to be more than that after her 2nd or 3rd shedding...in which case, will probably be able to breed. I understand the importance of females having adequate body weight to carry those eggs inside her.



But my question now that I want to raise is regarding a particular male hondo that I have (hatched in Sept 2004). If by around May (which is the time from most females do their 2nd shedding), the male hondo in question is below 400 grams, like 370-380 grams, would that male be able to breed with a good size female hondo? Anyone of you guys able to successfully breed 2 hondos where the male is considerably smaller than the female (say, male is close to 400 grams and female is about 700 grams) ?
