Thanks for the concern with this guy. I thought about him getting under the towel. The heat mat is actually on the outside of the tank and I've been checking it periodically to make sure the glass isn't hot. (It's not that powerful of a mat either) It's just kinda warm. I know it's too early to tell but he seems to be feeling better....even his skin looks a tiny bit more hydrated and he's spend more of the day up then down flat. I'm encouraged....I may get brave and give him a name.
