i use ceramic dishes for some of my snakes and dog/cat water dishes, with sloping sides for better stability for others. all of these i get cheap at a dollar store, a buck each or two for a dollar. i am starting to use wide plastic bowls at the same store for hides, especially with my ball pythons, as they are too big to fit under what i have now, and the water dish is not big enough to fit under either. i do have a large dog water dish that can serve as water dish and hide, but it's too wide to fit into the cage lol [it has a 16'' diameter base, actuallly checked and see it will fit in the new cage i purchased for my ballpython, the old one wasn't as wide as the new one. now that my ball python is a year and half old, close to 900g in weight, she needs a bigger home]



it is amazing what can be found in a dollar store for pet feed dishes and hides, even when not looking in the little pet section. 90 percent of my reptile supplies [non food] are found in the dollar store [dollarama up here in canada, not sure what the states have in way of dollar stores]. feed dishes, water dishes, hides, fake plants, etc.
