I think that you misunderstood what the expert was saying. He said that If you have 10 pounds per square inch delivered to an area of 1/2 square inch, you get a resultant force of 20 pounds. 1 square mm is 0.00155 square inches which results in a point force of 71 pounds. Larry was right about the pressure increasing when the surface area decreases. I am not criticizing your posts, just letting you know that you might have misunderstood what your expert said.
