I was hoping for Motleys.......

.....but the stork delivered these instead. Twenty-five unfertilized and one premature baby on day 91 POS. Plenty of eggs but not enough sperm (or poor timing of the sperm). Not a promising start to the season but hopefully the disappointing part is done with and it will all be uphill from here. It was very difficult to watch Mom desperately try to get these “babies” up and moving. She and I both had a tough time facing the reality of the situation. The one baby looked good but I never saw any movement. It was not a Motley. I wish you better luck in your breedings......with eggs that are fertilized and developed.......and the only orange color being the scales of your brilliantly colored babies.

It was a long day at school today. I haven't been participating in the Forum at all lately.....just no time. My spring break is coming up soon and I promise to share some better photos. On the brighter side, I came home from school to find that Olivia had finished her POS. She gave me Motleys last year and was bred by the same male this season. Maybe better results with that one.
