If you're using a 10g tank you should get one of the undertank heaters marked for a 10 g tank. I use 10-15 gallon UTH's for 38qt sterlite containers to house my duos/trios. My room is always warm anyway so thats all it takes to give them a nice hot spot and then a cool hide spot on the end as well. You can raise humidity by either using plastic housing or covering the screen of an aquarium. Making a humid hide is as simple as taking a butter dish, cutting a hole near the bottom with a small lip, wetting down 4 or 5 papertowels and folding them into the bottom of the butter dish. Do a search on some Leopard gecko caresheets and ignore anything about using sand/any particulate substrate (Gravel, sand, rocks, reptile carpet etc etc)Most sheets have the temps right save for a hot spot for them.. When I removed the lights from my leos I saw an amazing improvement in both health and activity as well as weight gain, food consumption, breeding, etc. So now all the light they have is ambient from my room lights for a day/night cycle. I mist my leos down every other night for humidity reasons to keep it up..I use a pressure sprayer for the misting. Some of them even drink directly from the spray... Its rather funny.
