cypress mulch

You think it would be over kill on the humdity in tub rack system. I switched my snakes over to a Rack and have been using news paper.I didn't Think about the bottom of the tubs having dents the way they are shaped news paper doesnt lay right in there. I cant find any aspen in Ohio.
