If this is the first time for him, it may freak him at first. Provide a lot of cover so he can expose himself when he wants to. Also, put something over part of the cage so he can get out of a draft or the sun if it gets too warm. Don't leave him out too long and stay around the house just in case something changes and you need to get him back inside.
