Within a few months, 3 of the snakes had died. The dead snakes had a very "flat" appearance. The one survivor who has outlived his sibblings by several months also has a very flat appearance, the muscle tone looks very week and when he eats (thawed pinks) his attack & constriction is very sloppy. I doubt his method would successfully kill a live pinky mouse. I have several other boas, all are in perfect health and I've never had the first problem with any of them. Only the snakes from the lot of 4 that I purchased have had any problems and it seems to be the same thing that was wrong with each one of them. The most obvious sign is the degree of flatness when snake is stretched out and relaxed. Does anyone know what this is, or sounds like. And if so, is it something genetic or contagious? thanks, derrick [ Hide Replies ]
