I have seen this happen to a boa with a stuck shed on its head. I had a boa once that had a bad shed and for some reason it was really stuck on there. So I figured instead of soaking her I would wait for the next shed and raise the humidity. Well the next shed came around and this time everything came off in one peice, the place where the shed was stuck previously turned the scales white giving it the same effect, even on the black scales of the face it turned off white. My guess is the same thing happened and the previous owner left a stuck shed on the head and it turned the scales off color. Not to bust your bubble or anything lol you never know! Maybe it could be something. ----- _____
