I always gently wash the female with a mild soap and rinse them well. Then I put them in a clean tub with new bedding. They almost always start eating again as long as they don't smell the eggs any more. I agree about the captive born. I have never had a CB baby that didn't eat right after their first shed. The Axanthics I hatched in February actually ate before the first shed, and then shed by the next morning. I have 3 females bred to the Cinny male I got from Brian Kowitz that have ovulated so I have high hopes. I'll keep you posted. | ||
