Heres a hybrid albig that Ive raised from a 2 month old hatchling, Sobek, shes now just over 4 years old, shes 6ft 4 inches long and only 31 lbs. I just weighed her with a digital scale after calibrating it, I tried this 3 times to get a consistent reading.

This guy here is a WT a good friend has, I helped set his cage up, design his care, diet, etc over the years. Hes a sweetheart but territorial, he was barely 11 inches long when we got him. Hes is now 5ft 6 inches, and 22lbs, thats with a full stomach of 2-3 large rats.

This picture was taken with me holding him well over a year ago, he was 5ft long then and 18lbs.

This is a very heavy built stocky male BT/WT cross, he was 4ft 1.5 inches long and 11.5 lbs in the picture.

Heres a 4ft 6 inch Bosc monitor, he was only 10.5 lbs (thought Id add him for reference, they are lighter animals than albigs).

Albigs are very deceptively light, they spend alot of time in trees. Believe me, anyone whos ever picked up Sobek in recent history guesses 65-75lbs, but thats the illusion they give. Now a water monitor 5ft thats packing on weight may be 35lbs but then again they may not be that heavy either until they get a bit longer. Ive seen 5-7ft waters that were 35-60lbs.
I stopped many years ago trying to guess their weights, every time I was way off.
