It was fun. I brought my melleri, two deremensis, and a veiled. As well as some superworms and roaches. I left the big veiled and his mate at home.
It was more of an educational event, and I noticed some kids gettign bored when I discussed husbandry issues - so I started to skirt past that stuff in the second "show". when I do these for reptile shows, I'll concentrate on husbandry.
They were just interested in the animals themselves. When you pull a 17" long, wavy-crested, horned lizard out of a tree that was sitting there for a half hour, and NOBODY noticed it the whole time, you get lots of cool reactions.
I'm supposed to do a presentation for the NC herp society next month, and a more informative lecture (with animals ) at the NC reptile show in May.
