I would think it really depends on the snake. I'm sure some boas would have no problem with 30-60 min a day. And I'm sure some boas would be stressed out. I know this isn't the answer you were really looking for, but this is what I would guess from my short time working with boas. I would say get one from a show. Try to find one that seems relaxed. This might be hard to find considering they have been stuck in a little container for a while but this is what I would do. I say go for it. Good luck.
