Posted by: cbreps at Thu Mar 16 07:34:27 2006 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by cbreps ] it is moved to "lure" prey animals. my dumerils do it all the time as they lie partially buried in the substrate, never witnessed my hogs doing it. BUT also i saw my female BP's doing it the other day when i moved them into a bigger cage, the way they were moving slowly about the cage and lifting their tails and wagging i didnt feel was a "prey luring" technique as that would make no sense,,,"hey rats follow me",, then i noticed that they were also slightly opening their cloacas and rubbing the moist flesh along the shaving substrate (ouch! good way to get a splinter in your yoohoo girls!)i would assume they were depositing scent. anyone else witness this?? thanks, john yocum | ||
