I use a large glad disposable container with a hole cut in the side so she can go in. Inside I use Forest Bed that is moistened but again not soaked. I think vermiculite is also a good idea. Use a match and burn the edges of the hole you cut so it doesn't have any sharp parts. When they are ready to lay, they usually bury the eggs in the container and the Forest Bed keeps them moist until I take them out. Sometimes they will throw all the Forest Bed out and lay the eggs in the pile. Its easy to tell when they have laid then. One other thing I do differently is keep the egg laying chamber on the cool side of the cage. I think most of my females are ready to lay about a month after they last layed. Some are at 3 weeks and others take 6 weeks. [ Hide Replies ]
