...that snake does'nt need it...as long as the ambient(surrounding/room temp) air temp is between 74 and 77,with some fluctuation being ok,the under tank heater is plenty.otherwise sounds like a good setup,simplicity is good,and so are a couple hide boxes....as for your morph/phase/whatever-now i am surely not into/up on 'all the latest' crazes to grasp the hobby by the plums,but it looks like an okeetee to me-a nice one at that....if it was hypomelanistic,it would have strongly reduced,or at least noticibly reduced,melanin(black pigment).the black on yours is prominent-it looks normal to me.
