Yeah - at this time of year, you shouldn't need heating at all unless your in Canada! Room temp that's comfortable for humans is plenty warm enough for corns. I've had 5 for 5 years, & although located in Southern AZ, I've never provided mine with lights or pads. Just keep your place what is comfortable for you & they'll be fine.
