The possibility of breaking little legs is certainly a concern. With my Calabar, who of course has no legs , I use enough substrate to wedge the cave tight to the glass so the likely hood of bodily damage would be almost nil. I don't remove critters from their hides so that wouldn't be a factor either. I play with them when they come out to play, which is usually after dark . Thanks all, for the advice.
