Homer,
Sooner or latter we all produce a deformed baby snake. I ask myself this question before deciding to put it down. "Would the animal have a chance to survive in the wild with the deformity? (my definition of deformity does not include color or pattern mutations, obviously)" If the answer is yes, it is given a home in my collection and I never breed it. If it would likely be unable to survive with the deformity it gets put down. Fortunatly, I have only had a couple of situations where this decision had to be made. I just don't like to put snakes down if they're not suffering. If I were producing a lot of kinks from a particular pairing I would stop breeding that pair.
Hopefully you will not have to make a decision like that for this snake.
