I have just applied for my commercial propagating license for the state of Ohio. I was reading some of the posts below and am now more confused about the laws than I was before appling. I knew I needed a license for native species but what about non-native species.



I recently collected a northern spring peeper and a grey treefrog. I thought I may attempt to collect more and breed them. So I applied for the license. However in my herp collection I have 2 D. aratus, 2 D. azurues, 3 D. tinctorious(all poision dart frogs), 2 blushing mantellas, 5 fire-bellied toads and 75 of their tadpoles and 2 red ear sliders (both purchased from the local pet store).



So my questions are what do I need to keep records on? Anyone can go to this pet store and buy a baby turtle do they need a license also? How small is too small for someone to sell a baby turtle? I asked a person at the District 3 wildlife office when I emailed my permit application request... I recived 2 phone calls... The first she told me that they where sending me my application but I could not keep the grey treefrog because it was wild caught... then she called back saying I could keep it but I needed a license(the reason I Emailed them)...



I am confused, can anyone help???
