I am fairly new to this. My first post here. I have 3 baby leopards right now all in seperate tanks. I have to drop a mealie in front of my gecko to get them to eat it. They don't seem to have any interest in the ones in the bowl but once I drop one in front of them and they see it moving they almost always attack it.

From what I have read and seen from my geckos they simply won't eat anything unless it seems very alive and moving which I believe is why they get so excited about crickets, mine also love crickets.

Try dropping worms in front of them if you want to feed them worms. This way the worm seems more alive to them. I have given up on the food dishes in my tanks and simply feed them myself every day. They are getting used to seeing me open the tank and they know their food is coming. One would actully bite me every single time my hand got near him when I first brought him home. Now he realizes my hand feeds him and within 2 weeks has stop attacking me.

I give them as many crickets as they will eat in 5-10 minutes and sometimes a couple meal worms or wax worms.

When they are full they retire to their hide and I remove anything they didn't eat.
