It's absolutely normal for Leo's to prefer the humid hides. All 13 of mine spend a majority of their "hide" time in their humid hides.



As for how many Leos per tank size, 2 adults in a 20 gal long is the max for that size. A 30 gal breeder tank can house 3 or 4 adults, a 40 gal breeder tank can house upto 6. Just be sure you don't try to house males together, it's best to keep only females in a group. Even some females will not get along though, so you have to be prepared to house them separately if necessary.
