Ok, tonight isn’t going so great. I need help feeding my Gecko and medicating her.



I went to the vet today. I moved back to northern Delaware(civilization) last night at my school and made an appointment with the vet first thing in the am. I went to see them and they think she has an inner ear infection which is making her off balance, she’s dizzy, and can’t see straight; which explains a great deal. The vets assistant was very helpful and we gave her first dose of meds. When we went to give her food(Hill’s a/d just like suggested) she put up to much of a fight and we figured she had been stressed enough so we let her rest and I was to give her food later tonight. Early this evening I gave her some food, took a huge fight and I got food all over me, but I managed to get some in her mouth.



I have two tiny tiny little syringes, one for food and one for meds, but she is soooo tiny the syringes look huge. I think the doc said she wade 4 grams and on Monday I will have had her for a month. Tonight’s med time didn’t go great at all. Actually it was hell for both her and me. I fought with her for ever, but it’s so hard to keep a 4g baby lizard still while prying it’s mouth open, then putting the syringe in, then pushing on the top to squeeze in the meds. I heard a Gecko make noise for the first time tonight and it was my baby Gecko begging for it’s life while I was trying to save it. She is resting now, I put her in her cage and put her hide over her, so she wouldn’t even have to find her way back.



Tomorrow am I give another crack and feeding and meds. I will be calling to see if the doc is in so I can talk with him, but I can’t afford to make another visit. I pulled my emergency money and literally emptied my bank account. Life just sucks right now.
