red light vs. sunglo light

Okay--I have heard several people suggest the red lights for leopard geckos. Do red lights produce heat? I ask this b/c I need to supplement my terrarium's temp with a light fixture and I do not want to use a bulb/lamp that does not provide heat. Would I be able to use a red light with my ESU Reptile Bi Light fixture? Does anyone have experience with this particular fixture?
