Thanks, you're very kind.
I'm not breeding at this point. I've only owned snakes for five months now, and I'm still in the learning stage. My little girl is only 200 grams, and I'm just trying to be certain that I can keep her growing and happy. I'm not sure whether I'm ever going to breed these guys. I love watching what other people do, but I'm not ready to join them. Ultimately, I'm still in this game because I wanted a good "lap snake," and I think that ball pythons fit that description very well.
I also have a kingsnake, and my next snake will likely be a small breed of kingsnake because I have room for a small cage. I don't think I'm going to breed kingsnakes either.
When I think of my future in this hobby, I see myself in thirty years sitting in a rocking chair on the front porch of a little home in the mountains. I'll have my thirty-year old ball python in my lap, a book in my hands, binoculars around my neck, and a shotgun leaning against the wall (because every good redneck has a shotgun nearby).
If I do some breeding someday, I'll let you know. I'm horrible at sales, so I may just send you hatchlings to ensure that they have a good home. I'm still only middle-aged, but I sometimes think about what would happen if I end up with a bunch of snakes and they outlive me. LOL If you're young enough, I'll consider you for my will.
Bill ----- It's not how many snakes you have. It's how happy and healthy you can keep them.
