I know the feeling. I live 1/2 mile from a Petco and I'm usually in there at least once a week. It's a disgrace the way they care (or should I say NOT care) for their animals. For example, once a week they get a shipment of Siamese fighting fish. After a few days the water in the little deli cups they keep them in gets filthy. Usually less than a week later, they're all dead. It would take somebody literally 10 minutes to change the water, but since they probably pay a quarter apiece for them, they don't care. If they sell just a couple at 3.99, they already made a profit.
