Posted by: jennrosefx at Wed Mar 29 22:56:19 2006 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by jennrosefx ] I had my leucy out for a bit tonight. As usual, he was extremely calm and relaxed in my hands...tounge flicking, crawling through my fingers, exploring at a leisurely pace. I had to run and take care of something in the kitchen real fast, so I asked my pal Chris to hold him for a sec. Chris is not a big fan of snakes...to say the least. I've been trying to use Worm to get him over that phobia...I mean, come on, how can anyone resist an itty bitty, google eyed, white snake?? I made sure that Chris was supporting the snake's body, and lectured him about handling him loosely because he was delicate, yet the second I placed Worm in his hands, he (Worm) suddenly became extremely still and tense. He didn't budge. Not even a flick of the tounge. When I came back minutes later, he was still in the same tense position. I put my hand up to him, and he instantly relaxed and crawled back into my hand...and was completely calm again and continued on with his usual exploring. | ||
