With a little creativity, you could spin this into a great urban legend. Here are my top five endings.
5. ... The kid left home with the rat in a little box, but was never seen again.
4. ... and when they found the manager, he was hiding under 30 bags of aspen bedding.
3. ... and when my wife returned to the store, a bloody hook was hanging on the door of every cage.
2. ... According the report from the university, the blood was a direct match to the blood of human beings. They even used it to give some kid a transfusion.
1. ... so he got a female, a label maker, made up a fancy sounding name, claimed it was from Africa, and tricked thousands of ball python owners into thinking that it would solve all of their problems with picky eaters.
