Also, what happens when the power goes out? Will the thermostat remember the settings when the power comes back on?



I have two Johnson Controls thermostats that I bought from MGReptiles.com, and they remember the set point regardless of a power outage. You should talk to the supplier who sells you the thermostat to get answers to this question regarding your specific thermostat. I think most of the better quality thermostats remember settings.
