The picture gallery captions state the animals were stolen from an outside pen. This to me translates to outdoor enclosure, which is different from what the post says...unless the snakes were in cages in an outdoor enclosure.

I would certainly hope this was not in a residential area. While outdoor snake enclosures can be quite adequate for the snake (depending on the climate, etc., but for snakes native to GA that shouldn't be too much an issue), they aren't suitable in "high traffic" areas such as neighborhoods...hopefully this isn't the case here.

Why were the snakes placed outside overnight, in enclosures?
