After he finished gagging on his food that he was eating, I explained. You see, when I was a little kid, from about the age of 4 or 5, I wanted to work with snakes for a living. I was constatnly reading, researching, catching, or doing anything else that I could regarding reptiles. That lasted until about high school, when I learned it wasn't "normal" for someone to be so infatuated with reptiles. I went "into" the closet at that point (along with my steve irwin and dart frog t-shirts). After high school, I started to stop caring what was "normal" and what wasn't, I guess some people call that growing up. So I got back into snakes, and now that I am here, I dont feel weird for knowing about or caring for snakes the way that I do now. I feel as though I came out of the "reptile" closet. | ||
