Well, only other way is to analyze the actual genetic code...and I don't think anybody has mapped out the cornsnake genome and figured out what everything means yet. So, I think you are out of luck for a quick way to determine hidden genes. Breeding is the only real way to do it and unfortunately that takes time (probably less time than actually mapping out the cornsnake genome would take LOL)
