Question about cage sizes...

Most of the cage size recomendations you see on the internet are aquarium sizes (so basically long and narrow). I was wondering if it would be okay to keep adult ball pythons (seperately) in cages measuring 24"x24" (so...basically a square). It seems like they would have a fair amount of floor space, just not stretched out.



What are your thoughts on this?



Side question, I was recently told by someone locally that they were very displeased with boaphile cages. They said that they were not strong at all, and they would bend in if you set anything on top of them.
