OK here's what happened. I posted the pics on several sites. One of them was RDR. Cory Woods stated that it was most likely a twisted oviduct, as did another member there, Phil. Given their advice and advice of other friends, I decided to do emergency surgery. I cut a small hole in the sac surrounding the egg and used warm water to push the egg though the oviduct tissue. As soon as the egg was released, the female sucked the oviduct tissue back up inside of her and resumed laying her clutch. She appears to be laying fine now. I may run her on a course of antibiotics just to make sure she heals up ok.
