My baby racks have 4 levels with 3 bins on each level. I use dual fluorescent fixtures with reptisun 10.0's for uvb, and low watt halogens for my basking bulbs. The halogen basking bulbs are what I plug into the inline dimmer switch, and I can control each rows basking temps seperately, and easily just by using the dimmer switch. With a relatively large collection I have found these to be an energy $saver$ when used in conjunction with halogen bulbs, and a real time/headache saver.. Before these dimmers with every season, and temp change it meant changing out the bulbs for lower/higher wattage as needed, and adjusting each cages basking spot.. Now I attach an indoor/outdoor thermometer with the probe right on the basking spot, or use my temp gun, and adjust my dimmer until the temps are perfect. | ||
